New Biomedical Research Building: Current News & Activities

Part of the recommendations of the recent Biomedical Research Initiative Steering Committee (BRISC – http://www.sc.edu/research/brisc.shtml) included markedly expanding facilities to support biomedical research by incorporating office, laboratory, and computing space into buildings in the University’s new research campus. That process is now underway with a team of folks beginning to look into creation of a new biomedical research facility.  Click here for  the minutes of a meeting that took place in September 2004 that represented a first step in plans for a new biomedical research facility. An inter-disciplinary advisory group made up of interested faculty, administrators and staff will be formed soon to work with the builders on specific needs for a new biomedical facility.
